My father, Norman Meal, bought this barn along with 80 acres in 1959 from the McKay family. Luckily, he sheeted the barn with red metal, which has preserved all the original wood inside, both on the walls and the ceiling. He added a 64’x22’ lean to off the south side of the barn. His addition now serves as seating for guests or ample space for caterers, as well as a stunning, rustic bar area accented with a bronze chandelier, two serving windows, and an outdoor bar option for enjoying those beautiful Indiana nights on our patio space.

In 2016, I acquired the family farm. After that, my fiancé and I decided to turn the barn into a dream venue where we would be married at June 10, 2017. We added on a 64’x22’ addition off the north side of the barn to mirror the south side. In the addition, we designed the bridal suite, groom suite, and restrooms for modern comfort and convenience. We made every attempt to keep the original 1800's charm of the main barn, and the original oats bin still remains in place. Our goal was to save every piece of wood and reuse the materials in other areas of the venue, which we were able to successfully achieve.
